It was nightfall and the full moon shined brightly through the thick tops of the trees as Michael made his way through the forest. The hood to dark grey hoodie was tossed up and the darkness from the forest made to where only the light gold of his amber eyes and the small bits of his blonde hair that stuck out from his hood could be seen. His hands rested gently inside the pockets of the baggy black jeans he found himself wearing today, and his head was hung rather lower. He knew all to well the dangers of walking alone in the forest at night, while it may not have been as dangerous back before they took over it sure as hell was now.
Immortalis may have left Eterna Forest alone for now, but that didn't mean they didn't regular portals of the forest to make sure that no one was out catching Pokemon, or that no one was sleeping inside of the old mansion that rest deep within the think brush of forest. Normally Michael wouldn't have been very worried about Immortalis, he could handle a lot of the crap they threw at him but he was very close to one of the mains bases...he needed to play it safe. A sigh escaped his lips as thoughts of how far the world had fallen since the take over at Kanto entered into his mind. So much had changed for the worst and yet he had done so little to stop it, he was failing at his promises.
You don't need to give yourself a pity party
If he had learned anything about growing up in this cold and dark world it was that feeling sorry for yourself didn't get you anywhere. If you really wanted to make things better you didn't whine, you stood up and took action against those who were holding you back. The Phoenix leader's feet came to a stop as he reached a rather hidden off area of the forest. He was sure that this would be a good place to rest for a little bit, he had been walking for awhile now. It had started off with him in Jublife City trying his best to gather information on the members of Immortalis that were there...it actually hadn't worked out very well. From what he could tell not a lot was going on Jublife just your normal dictator bullshit.
The man removed his right hand from his pants pocket and reached it into the left side of hoodie, he felt around in the hidden pocket that rested inside the hoodie and pulled a small metal flask. He was about to take part in a bad habit of his, and from what he heard from others it was a bad idea to drink alone. Sadly Michael had no here to drink with him, Cherise was busy helping out newer members and Trinity...well Trinity wasn't around anymore.
Stop it, if your feeling sorry for yourself how do expect to lead? These people are counting on you. So go make a difference.
The leader set himself down in front of tree his back pressing against the tree as he opened up the metal flask and held it to his nose. He took deep breath through his nose and let the smell of the whiskey that filled his flask enter into his body...he shivered. Not wasting anymore time he quickly took a drink from it, and could feel the cold liquid make its way down his throat. "To Freedom." he muttered lowly as he rose his flask up towards the sky and took another a sip. He had to look like an utter bum right now.
