Appearance
Chrome has long, silver-white hair, free and devoid of decorations, and blood-red eyes. It may look like she has albinism, but that doesn't seem to be the case. She is tall and possesses a stunning, slim figure, long legs and a gaze-inducing chest. Though, she does dress rather simply, preferring a sleek, black short dress, black finger-less gloves and black shoes. Her stockings are asymmetrical, with the right one reaching up to her thighs, while the left one is short.
Almost all of the time, she sports a passive expression so one can't really tell what she is thinking. The fact that she rarely talks, and only talks when spoken to, only adds to the mystery. And when she does talk, her voice is rather low and emotionless. But what she lacks in voice and obvious emotion, she makes up for with her fists. This lady can fight, and not only with her Pokemon. In fact, it's how she keeps Immortalis grunts in line, especially the perverted and the incompetent ones. Her fighting skill is not something she shows off, however, so you only get to see it when you've pissed her off enough (which is rare), or when she feels you deserve some ass-whopping (or discipline, to put it in nicer terms). It's not very obvious that she's a hand-to-hand combat fighter from her appearance, which she puts to use in catching people off-guard.
Personality
Most Immortalis members, even the leaders, are of the cold and emotionless kind, and she is no exception. She is not completely emotionally-stunted, however, and is quite capable of carrying out a civil and quiet conversation, without creeping out or scaring the opposition. Her red eyes do make her unnerving, but when comparing her to other Immortalis leaders, she's not that out of place.
She doesn't talk unless it's needed, and can come across as rude if she decides not to answer you. Thus, she's prone to angering hot-headed and impatient people without meaning to. She's very calm and collected, and she rarely gets riled up. You know, kind of like steel?
But in the same way steel has a weakness, she is not completely devoid of weaknesses or berserk buttons. For example, try touching her inappropriately, and you might find yourself awarded a free pass to the hospital... as a patient. Some grunts and certain brave (read: stupid) people try though, thinking she's defenseless and subservient because of her quiet personality. And how wrong they are. Sadistic people may find this amusing, though.
Another notable trait of hers is her seriousness and dedication to being strong, both in combat and Pokemon battling. Sure, it's a good thing, but then you find out just how far she will go for it, and you will find it rather scary. After all, she managed to be a respected and feared lady leader of an evil organization. You don't get to be there without a stone heart. Or a steel heart, in her case.
Despite so, she has a deep, hidden air of innocence, brought about by being someone who was forced to grow up too soon. She's also rather single-minded regarding her goal. The goal itself is pure, but the way she goes about it is wrong. But then, with what she'd been through in her life, she knows no other way. Or rather, no one has guided her properly.
History
As a young girl, she's wandered the streets as far as she could remember. Abandoned and living by herself, she grew rather independent and became wise to the ways of survival. But that changed when she met old Mr. Kagami, when she tried to steal from him. The kind man, rather than punish her for it, instead took her in to his house and fed the famished little girl. While at first she was wary, her hunger took precedence and she ate what was offered of her. After the meal, she asked him why he did what he had done for her, and with a smile, he just said that when he saw her youthful but dirt-stained face, he just couldn't leave her like that.
This small act of kindness brightened up the young girl's world. As one who was used to being beat up and turned away in the streets, she couldn't understand why. But she knew that it warmed her up to the heart. There were tears to be shed that night.
She would later learn, after she'd been adopted by the old man, that Mr. Kagami owned a dojo in the traditional Ecruteak City. He lived with his wife while being an instructor in the martial arts. But the pair were childless because the lady was incapable of bearing a child. The young girl's life definitely turned for the better when she became their child. The couple loved her as if she was their own child too. Furthermore, they discovered that she had an aptitude for the martial arts even at the age of 10, which her foster father heartily taught and trained her for.
But apparently, life wasn't done being cruel to her, because three years later, a traumatizing event changed her world again - for the worse. One night, while she was asleep, a man with perverse desires attempted to kidnap her. Unable to gather the courage she usually would have, she screamed for help, and of course, her parents arrived to her rescue. Her mother quickly called for help, while her father fought with the crazed man. But when her mother came back and attempted to bring her somewhere else to safety, the crazed man managed to get the upper hand and kill the weary, old Mr. Kagami. And then Mrs. Kagami attempted to shield the young girl as well, and she met the same fate as her husband. And throughout all this, the young girl was frozen in shock and fear. Before the man could take her away, the police arrived. She may have been saved physically, but it was too late to save her from the mental damage.
She was sent to an orphanage afterwards, but the trauma severely affected the state of her mind, so she ran away and began wandering the streets again. The killing made quite the wrong impression on the young girl, because she believed it is her fault her adoptive parents died.
If only I wasn't weak...
... was the mantra she repeatedly chanted in her heart. But this time, she had another fateful encounter... although it may not have been for the best. A man who took advantage of her young, vulnerable and impressionable mind by convincing her that she should just get stronger.
Of course, that was perfectly reasonable, wasn't it?
Not with the method he suggested though. And that was to join the ranks of Team Rocket. Rise through the ranks, he said. The idea of strength that he told her was that one should be able to rise to the top, no matter what the method and no matter the odds.
So she did. She made herself anew. She called herself Chrome, a name that brought to mind the image of tough, unbreakable steel, because she would never break or fear anything again. Constantly improving her skills both in combat and Pokemon battling, she rose through the ranks of Rockets. And she loved the thrill of the fight and of winning. So when the idea of Immortalis arose, it was only natural for her to challenge it. Oddly enough, she doesn't exactly want to be a God. What she really wants is to be strong and for people to acknowledge that fact. And in this world, it's by being a God. So she will be one.
But at the core of it, she's really just a post-traumatic stress disorder victim, who vented out her mental damage in a self-depreciation manner, and then tried to find a way to assure herself otherwise - which in this case, is Pokemon battling. Her true mental state is still that of a child, and it's possible to pick up the hints of that. Her childish stubbornness is one example. If you arouse her interest regarding Pokemon battling skills, she will demand a battle. In that low, monotone voice of hers. Not that obvious? But saying that with her determined red-eyed glare, it comes off as rather creepy and chilling.
Oddly enough, she doesn't cheat in fights (e.g. If it's officially a Pokemon battle, it should only be the Pokemon fighting, and that means no attacking the trainer). She could care less if her fellow Immortalis leaders and the grunts do it to others. She doesn't mind if you do so while fighting her either, because it only gives her more of a sense of satisfaction and strength if she defeats a cheater. This... twisted sense of morality might be a remnant of her days as the Kagami's child. It shows that as much as she wasn't over that incident, she's also retained some good parts of that life, even if she has changed so much being a member of a rather immoral and evil organization.
Lastly, why is a hand-to-hand combat trainer like her specializing in the Steel type instead of the obvious Fighting type? Her reason would be that Steel Pokemon are the toughest. Physically tough, unshakable, and wouldn't crumble easily.
