DESDEMONA VALENTINE "C'mon, Quinn! It'll be fun! Just like old times, yah partner?" she questioned her companion. The Pignite gave her a second glance in her direction, he had declared himself her offcial bodyguard, dispite the other leader having he or her's job to protect her. His onyx gaze was somewhat uncertain in the bowels of the hooded area, and his tall ears twitched with the sudden breeze in the alley. He grunted, and then turned away from her, arms crossed over his chest, one foot tapping, he kept grumbling. The woman sighed and leaned against the brick wall, and chuckled "C'mon, you big wuss. Dun be like that." he mocked and stifled the laughter that came from her lips with a hand, but the notes of music still spilled from the open corners between her fingers. The Pignite stiffened, and his cheeks became inflamed with a sudden heat of him blushing. As her laughter increased, he found himself cornered by his own master. He stormed away, a snort rising from him, fists clenched in embarrassment. She sighed and then watched as her pokemon dissappeared into the darkness. This city wasn't safe for a softie like him, and she scurried after him, her tounge stuck out playfully. "Quinn~! Dun be like that. Momma's just kiddin' ya." she chuckled. Her voice was actually happy and she was enjoying her time she had teasing her first and only pokemon. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and the heat leassened enough so he wouldn't burn her delicate skin. He turned his head away from her prying emerald optics and he wrinkled his nose, stil grumbling. "D'aww! You know I was pullin' ya leg, right, ol' chum?" he asked, pressing her cheek against the thicker muscle of his neck. The fire-type just shrugged his shoulders almost dissmissively and removed himself from her grasp. Almost pouting, with folded arms, she blinked and pursed her lips, and hung her head "Alrighty, alright. You win, Quinny. We'll go home. Gosh, we kin never have fun anymore." she grumbled and then turned, cocking a finger at him so he could follow her lead. Begrudgingly, the male followed, his ears hung low. She remembered when he was such a risk-taker when he was younger- as a Tepig, but now, he was suddenly convinced she needed constant protection. She may have grasp the rank everyone was dying for, but it doesn't mean she couldn't take care of herself. Really and truly, she loved the Pignite- he was her bodyguard, and he agreed to follow her instead of she having to catch him when he was abandoned by the anarchy and distress among the regions. With wide steps, the sun setting behind her, throwing a canvas of pearl pink and royal purple, dyeing her hair colors of the softest rainbow among the heavens, caused her to relax. The heat Quin casted over her, the odd silence in the alley, made her wince. It was too quiet for her comfort here. Jublife City was a place of crime, and the occasional murder here and there, so this was unexpected. So, after a few moments of serendipity, her body tensed, and she could hear his steps with her's get louder, enough to intemidate the one that was possibly lurking in the shadows. Beneath her cargo shorts, plaid sweater, and almost dorky wire-rimmed glasses, laid the soul of a figher. As her eyes squinted among the coupled darkness, Quin shifted his bulk and moved in front of her. Surprised by the sudden movement, she backed away, letting the taller, larger Pokemon take her place in front. How gallant! If only some men were like that. "Be careful now, Quin." she warned and stuck beside him, raising her hands and spreading her legs in a classic defense position. Ah... like the old days... |
