HYDRA, Desdemona Valentine

Appearance
Meet Desdemona. Your first impression of the young woman would be that she was short. Coming at only five feet tall and not an inch over, Des is a mouse among regular men. Another look upon her shows that she wears large, over the the top wire-rimmed glasses that take up half of her face. Behind those glasses are elegant emerald eyes that glimmer in specfic sunlight and seem dull and listless in dim lighting. Around the iris's hint a bit of gold if you look a bit closer inside them, darting among her pupils, which are naturally narrowed in thought. Beautiful, lush black-cinnamon hair cascades down her back and stop at the joints on her dirt scuffled knees. With hair like this, she isn't really eager to showoff, she'll simply put it into a messy ponytail and be done with it, for, she's never been the person to fuss over material things that can be easily removed from her body. Sometimes, she'll cut most of her hair off, but it'll easily grow back or regenerate just as easily as faster as before, so she doesn't bother anymore. Her skin is as unblemished and silky as her hair, a light tan, with darker, almost oranged tinged freckles splash across her cheeks and shoulders, when blushing, her facial apperance can turn a harsh scarlet and when scared or frightened, it can reached to a light pale or an extreme white. The freckles along her body give her an almost spray-tan feel, but I must tell you, its all natural as it can be.

With the clothing she wears, its hard to tell she leads anything whatsoever, she almost looks- normal. No one would even notice her in a crowd, and she perferss it that way to anything. But, the only way to tell is if you see her body structure, and you can tell she's all woman. Elegant, hinted curves and a well defined chest, she can be easily overlooked as a child if you don't look close enough, but, despite her mousy height, she is a well-muscled mare with many names. Her arms are muscular, as well as her legs, due to her exercising and moving her body on a daily basis. Yes, she has her lazy days, but she won't stand for any type of weakness in herself nor in Hydra as a whole, turning herself into a fine leader sterotype.

Personality
Something doesn’t go her way? She doesn’t take it lightly. She likes to be right, all the time, and if she’s not, and someone proves that she is not, she’s known for explosions of a temper and anger. It can be as unpredictable as it is dangerous with her powers, and has often led to people tip toeing around her, and her personality. She’s rather odd, and the views that she has on things can be described as peculiar. She doesn’t view the world that way that others do. She has this thirsty curiousity, and reacts to things in ways that other don’t, with blunt words and an excitement that shows in the physical sense, making her very grabby. Half the time she wants to see what sort of chaos she can stir up, and other times she just wants to slice you open and see how you tick.


Her humor can be very sarcastic, and she has a sharp tongue. While she prefers to go for excitement and oddity, she can work irony to her favor. It’s hard to tell just what is going to come out of her mouth next, and whether or not it will be offensive. She doesn’t particularly care if she offends you, though.


She’s a physical fighter as well as an experienced Pokemon fighter as well, and she enjoys it. Causing others pain can be exhilarating, though not as exciting as it is to actually beat them down. She’d approach diplomatic then a violet one, and will always recommend it over that. Not to be mistaken that she rushes in without thinking. Her attacks are always tactical and planned out to perfection. She always finds a way to make ends meet, and its most often in less than ‘kind’ ways. She’s a master of deceit, and it is always dangerous to put your trust in her, even once she’s sworn loyalty to you. She does whatever is best for her at the time, and will defend Hydra until she's been broken down, or to her death, whichever comes first.


She considers herself to be more important than nearly anyone that she interacts, and will never let people walk over her. She does not play the submissive character well, and often becomes angry if people try and act like they are more powerful than her. It is half the reason why she would do so badly in relationships, because she would constantly be competing as the more dominant character in said relationship. She has a natural desire to find out more about the unknown, and explore something until she has all the knowledge there is to know on the subject. This eagerness can be dangerous, because it often drags her into environments that can hurt her. It is, in essence, how she earns most of her scars. They do say that curiosity killed the cat.

History
Born 20 years ago, Mother dies at childbirth. Father is not on the scene. Older brother, Simon, around 12 years old, is forced to care for her.

Desdemona turns two. Older brother Simon is forced to take up a career in black market working as a pawnshop cashier. Des is left in the hands of one of their mother's old friend for the days. News of anarchy and whatnot stiff up trouble for certain Team's at this time. Desdemona turns five. Simon is beginning to experience troubles with the law because of his job on the underground market as they start shutting down businesses. Detained at one point for two weeks. Des, again, was cared for by their mom's friend. Simon gets released and no longer has a job because the pawnshop has been shut down. Their mom's friend offers to pay for their care for them until he finds something else.


Des turns seven. Old enough to understand what is going on. Simon joins the resistance of Hydra, and she wants to but of course she is too young. Kanto is in trouble. Simon and their guardian must leave in order to stay alive.

She turns ten. Her brother doesn't return home most nights. Their moms friend passes away because of the toll of illness has taken on her body, and her children are sent to live with relatives. Desdemona is evicted onto the streets again from the home during one of the many weeks that her brother vanishes. He never returns. She has to learn to fend for herself at a much younger age than her brother did. This mostly involves scavenging on the streets and using the money her brother manages to dig up to buy cheap, undercooked food.
Tori turns sixteen. As many of the other regions are crushed, and her brother Simon is killed in the chaos. Des begins to blame herself because she did not try to talk him out of continuing to work. Her life begins to deteriorate without her brother's funds. Des is grabbed on the street by a shady underground business.


As days turn to months, and months turn to years, and a few birthdays that she barely notices go by quickly, she is now finally twenty years of age. She has undergone a series of tests and challenges in her life, as well catching her first pokemon, a young Tepig whom she had bonded with without noticing. She has joined Hydra as a grunt, and she goes on in months, she soon grows in the ranks silently and finally reaches her destination as full leader. She is only really bonded with her pokemon, and soon, the fire-type evolves into a Pignite.
