Appearance

He has messy russet colored hair and forest green eyes. His expression is either a huge grin or a frown with not much in between. He's a bit above average height, standing at roughly 5'10. He has good posture, going out of his way to seem confident while resisting the forces of the enemy groups.

Green keeps his clothes casual, trying not to stand out too much for when he's doing things he shouldn't be. He wears half of a pokeball around his neck, a childhood trinket that he's yet to lose or get rid of. His build is average, but his hips are pretty narrow. Despite his clothing choice, he does where a bright red wristband to at least somewhat identify with Pheonix.
Personality

Although still friendly, he's a bit more aggressive after seeing his region in ruins and having his team stripped away from him. The majority of his energy is put into Pheonix. He dislikes taking breaks because once he takes a bit of time to slow down, it's hard for him to get pumped up about rebelling against Immortalis again.

He misses his team, and little things make him think of his old pokemon. Green still loves to meet new people, but is now a bit more weary of their motivations. He can be a bit too brash at times, and without his team he sometimes acts without proper consideration of his safety. When he manages to find a person that makes him smile, he tries to keep them by his side constantly.

An old habit that was never quite killed, he flirts with those who seem more reserved to try and get them out of their shells. The habit was picked up when his rival was often too quiet, and he wanted to lighten the air around them. Although the flirting can get a bit out of hand, the subject of relationships doesn't usually cross the former champion's mind.

History

After leaving home at a young age, Green managed to collect his badges with his pokemon and make it to the elite four. After beating them, he was the champion for a very short period of time, but was then defeated by his rival. A bittersweet loss, but he still believes his goal to become a champion was met, even if short lived.

Soon after being defeated, Giovanni, the previous leader of Viridian City vanished, leaving the spot open. He jumped at the chance, claiming it as his own, and giving out the Earth badge to anyone who managed to win against him. Although he took lengthy breaks from running the gym, it had become his pride.

When Team Rocket rose up again, it was taken from him, as well as every member of his team but his pidgeot, which managed to fly away during the catastrophe. The gym is now labeled rocket, mocking him cruelly each time he passes it.

Green quickly joined the revolution in Sinnoh, wanting to destroy what took everything away from him. He originally wanted to join Hydra, but after seeing how slow and passively they worked, and how quiet they were about something so serious the choice became clear.
