Colton likes when things just fit. Like the final piece of a puzzle, or the last step to a goal. There is nothing better than that moment, knowing that you can look down or look back at something that you've accomplished. Things like that aren't fun if you cheat though, which is why the boy hates cheap shots and low blows. He's adventurous, loving the outdoors during a sunny day - to dive under the water and see what he and his Vaporeon, Indra, can find. He's potentially wicked, but rarely physically violent. After witnessing the terrors that team rocket is capable of, he is deathly afraid of that third strike - it's what keeps him on the straight and narrow... and what makes being a rocket look even more tempting. If he were one of them? He wouldn't have to fear for he nor Indra in their quest to gain strength. But if he were one of them, he would have to ball up his fists and dish out the punishment some day... which leaves him as a loyal follower with a potentially rebellious heart, tempted by all three sides of the spectrum.

His father is a rocket, but managed to look after his children without it affecting things too much. It isn't rare for the members of the mafioso group to have families back at home - and Tybalt was one of the many. He loved his wife, and his children - and because of him they were able to each have one pokemon, so long as they followed the rules. The family of four, Tybalt, his wife, and their two children - lived relatively peacefully... until Brittany learned that she had a trainer's blood running through her veins.

She couldn't train the Prinplup that she loved so much "traditionally" - but whenever they had the chance they would sneak out and find ways to get stronger. The girl had a fighting spirit that Eli could only watch. He didn't have the same passion, only a disregarded sense of judgement and a cold, calculating sense of thought. She was like his mother, and he his father - but as he grew he found that he didn't want to be. Brittany came home beaten one day, she had been caught red handed and her strikes tallied up... and Elijah was horrified to know that the same peace keeping company that his father had worked for? Was actually quite cruel.

Brittany ended up running away, her life too tied with the life of a rebel to stay at home with their Rocket father. Elijah will follow suit within the year, but for different reasons. It was once common for children to go off on their own when they were ten years old, both he and his parents feel that it's time for him to find his own path in life. You don't have to be a trainer to do that.
